Technique (Nritta)

Pure dance where the body becomes an instrument of rhythm and geometry. From basic adavus to complexkorvais, students develop strength, stamina, and precision.

Theory (Jnana)

Understanding the why behind movements. Students study Natyashastra, Sanskrit terminology, and the historical evolution of classical dance forms.

Music (Sangeet)

Carnatic music is the heartbeat of Bharatanatyam. Students learn to recognize ragas, internalize talas, and appreciate the nuances of each composition.

Expression (Abhinaya)

The soul of dance. Through systematic training in Navarasas, students learn to embody emotions authentically and create rasa that moves audiences.

About Us

For over 12 years, Navarasa Pranaah School of Performing Arts has been a sanctuary where the ancient science of expression finds its breath in every young artist. Founded and led by the acclaimed Smt. Jyothi Rajesh, we offer comprehensive training in Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Mohiniyattam, and Carnatic Music.
Our name embodies our philosophy: Navarasa (the nine emotions) + Pranaah (breath, life force) = the art of bringing emotions to life through classical dance.
At Navarasa Pranaah, students don’t just learn steps—they discover the profound connection between movement, music, theory, and expression. They join an unbroken lineage (guru-shishya parampara) that spans decades, carrying forward the rich traditions of Kalamandalam and Kalakshetra.
